The United States has been called into action to deal with two unfolding crises in the Caribbean.
Following the assassination of the nation’s president, Jovenel Moïse, it has been asked to send troops in to Haiti to secure critical infrastructure and enhance stability. Meanwhile, as Cubans began unprecedented protests in response to the ongoing economic crisis and shortages of food and medicines, plus the regime’s disastrous response to the Covid-19 pandemic, appeals were made to Biden to offer aid.
