US state secretary vies to repair EU ties

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was in Brussels Tuesday, on a mission to repair the country’s alliances with #NATO and European allies. FRANCE 24 international affairs commentator Douglas Herbert says #Blinken is a reassuring presence for America’s trans-Atlantic relationship, which was damaged during former President Donald Trump’s ‘America first’ policy.

The growing assertiveness of Russia and China, the pandemic, and war in Afghanistan, will be on the agenda for talks.
