WATCH: Are Republicans in danger of losing the Senate?

PBS, 28 Jul 2020
PBS NewsHour's Dan Bush and Lisa Desjardins both said they expected Republican lawmakers to face challenges to their seats this year, particularly in the Senate. Bush noted incumbents in Colorado, Arizona and Maine are all vulnerable. If former Vice President Joe Biden were elected president, the Democrats would only need to flip three seats in order to win back the Senate.

“I’d be surprised if Republicans held onto the Senate,” said Desjardins, who added that North Carolina, Montana and Iowa are all tight races, too. Bush and Desjardins took viewer questions on July 27 on all things politics ahead of the 2020 election.
