WATCH: Biden says Trump 'has no plan' for the coronavirus response

PBS, 30 Sep 2020
Former Vice President and Democratic nominee Joe Biden criticized President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, stating that the president "has no plan."

The Trump administration has been criticized for a delayed response and inconsistent messaging on the pandemic, which has now killed more than 205,000 people in the U.S., according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.

Biden's coronavirus plan calls for making testing widely available and free to the public and building surge capacity for prevention and treatment at medical centers, among other initiatives.

Biden and Trump are facing each other in Cleveland, Ohio, for the first presidential debate before voting concludes in November. Despite meeting in person, the event will only include an audience of about 80 people, hosted by the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University.
