WATCH: Megan Rapinoe talks with frontline workers at the DNC | 2020 DNC Night 1
PBS, 18 Aug 2020
Professional soccer player Megan Rapinoe spoke with frontline workers on Aug. 17 during the first night of the Democratic National Convention. “Mentally, physically, emotionally, I don’t know how many of us on the front lives are going to survive” a second round of the virus, one medical professional who contracted COVID-19 told Rapinoe. The coronavirus pandemic upended both parties’ traditional conventions. Instead, the program each night features a number of speakers and musical performances virtually across the country.
