WATCH: Why public health experts don't believe the U.S. tests for COVID-19 fast or frequently enough
PBS, 19 Aug 2020
Joanne Kenen, the executive editor for health care at Politico, pushed back on President Trump’s argument that more testing in the U.S. has led to more coronavirus cases. “The cases are there, whether you test or not. You can spread the disease whether you test or not. You can get very sick whether you test or not, and you can die whether you test or not,” Kenen said. She said most experts within the public health community do not think the U.S. is testing frequently or fast enough. Kenen joined PBS NewsHour's Daniel Bush on the second day of the Democratic National Convention, which is being held virtually this year.
