White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is expected to hold a press briefing on Tuesday as U.S. cases of COVID-19 continue to soar.

The update comes after it was announced that President Donald Trump would resume regular coronavirus briefings.

After months of declining to wear a face covering at public events amid the pandemic, Trump also tweeted on Monday saying it is “patriotic” to wear a face mask.

The United States remained the epicenter of the virus as of July 20, with more than 3.8 million confirmed cases.

So far, 140,811 people in the U.S. have died as a result of COVID-19.
