The WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the world needs faster vaccination in a conference in Geneva, Switzerland on June 14, 2021. He added that the organisation welcomes the 870 million vaccine doses donation from the Group of Seven (G7) countries, which will help the poorer nations to fasten up vaccination. Bruce Aylward, who is in charge of WHO’s The Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator programme, said the world has the resources to ensure poor nations have the tools they need. Chief of WHO emergency response programme Michael Ryan said the world can spend more in tackling Covid-19.
