Zoom era sees pandemic increase in US plastic surgeries

US plastic surgeons have registered a significant increase of people seeking cosmetic surgery, as virtual meetings and lockdown life have become the new normal for many due to Covid-19. DC resident Hudson Young was displeased with the appearance of his face on Zoom calls, and had a face and neck lift as well as an eyelid surgery to improve his looks. Being able to work from home led Ana Caceres to opt for a breast reconstruction and lift and schedule an arms liposuction, while recovering from her procedures at her parents' house in Maryland. Her plastic surgeon Dr. Catherine Hannan, whose clientele almost doubled during the pandemic, notices that overall "patients have more frown lines, because they've been so stressed for the last year."
